WORLD CUP- CHINA
World Cup, Chongming Island. China. 9th of May 2010
1st: Ina Teutenberg, 2nd: Kirsten Wild, 3rd: Rochelle Gilmore.
Thanks to the performance of the Australian National Team, we sprinters were given another opportunity to battle it out for the podium.
With 10km to go HTC Columbia and Cervelo had their two strongest riders (Arndt & Duster) 30 seconds up the road and they were happy to let those two riders race for the win. If we, the Australian team wanted a podium today, it was up to us to chase and close the gap.

TOUR OF QATAR 2010
Doha Qatar from the 3rd to the 5th of February
Chaos and carnage! That’s the only way I can describe my start to the season in the desert! I hit the deck just 40km into stage one, I ran into a pile up that occurred during the desperation of the first intermediate sprint.
It’s fair to say that there were a lot of energetic riders wanting to test their legs when given their first opportunity in 2010 against an international field.

Tour Féminin en Limousin
Limousine, France: July 23rd to 26th, 2009
Introduction to the Tour of Limousin Well this certainly isn’t the way we roll.... we’ve gone from living it up in 5 star hotels during the Giro d’Italia to staying in an old school in the middle France! We arrived at the school after a long drive from Italy to unmade beds, no towels, no pillows, no hot water, communal push button showers, no soap, no complimentary moisturisers/shower caps etc.... Well, we will survive!

ITALIAN UCI ONE DAY RACE
Cento, Ferrara, Italy: July 18th 2009
Cento is a flat circuit race held in Ferrara Italy- it’s always just one week after the Women’s Giro D’italia. It’s definitely a race for the sprinters but it’s interesting to see who recovers well during the week, one year I couldn’t even complete 3 laps of the 11 lap race- I had not recovered at all after the Giro that year!

ARRIVING IN EUROPE
Italy: March 30th 2009
Last year I arrived in Italy after a long tough flight to learn that my car had been left at the wrong airport for me; it was parked at Milan Malpensa instead of Milan Linate. I think I walked about 5-10km searching for the car spot that didn’t exist at Linate airport! It was then a long day catching buses etc in search of my car.... this year’s arrival also provided some unexpected challenges- to spite trying to be well organised!
